≈ $5 of verification monthly — 25 citation checks plus quote credits. No card required. The balance is raised back to 500 each calendar month: it is a floor, never a subtraction, and credits you have purchased above it are never touched.

How billing behaves
These are contract, not policy — they hold on every call.
Estimates are pre-authorized
The difference is refunded after the run, and engine failures refund fully.
Retries never double-charge
Idempotency is server-enforced; a replayed response is marked in the meter rather than billed again.
We charge less when our coverage gaps
A citation we cannot decide costs 1¢ instead of 3¢. Charging less on honest gaps is deliberate — we don't profit from our own gaps.
Published pricing cannot drift from charged pricing
The served manifest, the pricing contract, and the billing ledger all read one table.
